The 99 Word Tribe By Bridget Lowe

Judy Underwood, Chasing Rainbow

Thursday Flash Fiction Week 28: Innocence and Dreams

World, i honor you
after everything
we've been through.
I honor you and take you with me
up the mountainside
where we will live
in wonderment.
I take you to the desert
where we shrivel like worms
and become tongues
for other people to kiss with.
World, there are two baskets
on my back,
Fill them, fill them with fruits
and more fruits.
Or fill them with whatever
is customary
but tell me it is fruit, Call it something good.
World, some has satisfied their thing
But I'm the crying-out animal
who can see in the dark!
Forgive me!

Friday Poetry and Haiku (Love and Glory)

When troubles bring you down,
You may not know what to do.
Please look inside your heart,
And you shall know I love you.
You are in each thought I have,
And every breath I take.
You dominate my soul,
With every move I make.
I recall us the way we used to be,
Your smile is so remarkable to me.
What we have shared feels so right,
To say I love you, every single night.
Don’t you know that you make my days count,
I am the happiest when you are around?
It doesn’t matter what others say,
As long as I love you, day by day.
At the edge of the mountain,
I see your face in clouds,
Feeling within,
In the deepest part of my dreams,
I see you out of breath,
from the warmth of your skin.
Hold you deep within my soul,
Kiss you without control.
Take me to another dimension
So that I sense the heat of your passion.
On the wings of a rocket,
My love 4 u flies.
Soaring all the way high in the sky,
Tears well up in my eyes.
I love you,
This is true!

glory in passion
means selflessness and kindness
or peace in water.
not hunting for gain,
but fighting for innocence,
authentic glory.

The (G)old Woman By Joseph Campbell (A Feature)

As a white candle
in a holy place,
so is the beauty
of an aged face.
as the spent radiance
of the winter sun,
so is a woman
with her travail done.
Her brood gone from her
and her thoughts as still
as the water
under a ruined mill

The Penguin and His Food (fish, not Tomatoes)

Image credit;
The penguin takes a walk on the shore,
with snowy ice above frozen water to bore,
He loves brilliant jokes
along with dozens of diet cokes,
"Penguins are greater than fish",
He has fun teasing those troublesome fish,
even a sword-fish would shiver
if a penguin stands next to it at the corner,
The penguin swallows those
that float and become very weak,
He doesn't have anoy choice
when it comes to survival week by week.
